We are looking for a highly qualified candidate who can fill the position of Livelihood Volunteer in Akkar- Mashta Hamoud. 

 
Who are we? 
DRC has been operating in the Middle East and North Africa for over a decade, running a combination of livelihood, protection, advocacy and relief projects. DRC has six project offices throughout Iraq, Lebanon, Syria, Tunisia/Libya, Turkey, and both a country and regional office in Jordan. 
DRC Lebanon has been assisting the Syrian displaced, fleeing Syria into northern Lebanon, since May 2011. This assistance has come through the provision of food and non-food items, various outreach activities (registration, follow-up and awareness sessions) rehabilitation of collective shelters and the implementation of quick impact projects.

About the job 
To provide support to the CDC assistant.  The Volunteer will be especially tasked with outreach and advertisement of the services provided.  
 
Duties and Responsibilities 
• Offer general information on the center and its services and respond to inquiries, directing beneficiaries and employers to the CDC staff for specific Matters/queries.  
• Conduct home visit and FGD to spread the information’s on the activities at the CDC. 
• Assist in the data collection on the local labor market and enter collected information on training opportunities and apprenticeship into the database. 
• Assist the team to register beneficiariesand employers using appropriate forms or the computer data base to record individual profiles.  
• Provide information to beneficiaries on apprenticeship options and training courses.  
• Assist the team members to visit stakeholders to explain the role of the DRC center in Khrab al Hayat and its services. 
• Prepare weekly report on achievements and challenges. 
• Obey DRC code of conduct.

 

About you

• High School diploma

Moreover we also expect the following: 

• Previous experience working with NGO’s 
• Team work skills 
• Computer literate with fair experience in excel. 
• Good communication skills  
• Experience in social work field 
•  Flexibility 
• Arabic: very good 
• English: very good 
 
We offer 
DRC will offer the successful applicant a contract till the end of August 2017, renewable dependent on both funding and performance. You must be available to start work from the first of June 2017 and be willing and able to work in Akkar. 
Salary and conditions will be in accordance with Danish Refugee Council’s Terms of Employment for Nationals; please refer to www.drc.ngo under Vacancies. This position will be placed at level V1, equivalent to 450$ per month.
