Background:

The Middle East Regional Office based in Amman, Jordan was created in January 2014 as part of NRC’s reorganization process.  We currently have more than 3,000 staff in the Middle East region assisting people displaced by conflict in Syria, Iraq, Lebanon, Turkey, Jordan and Palestine.  Our work is concentrated on the shelter, education, food security, legal assistance and water, sanitation and hygiene sectors with strong protection and resilience focus integrated into our programs.

NRC operations in the Middle East have grown significantly in recent years and further growth is expected in the months to come.  Overview:

The Technical Logistics Assistant will be responsible for filing and managing big amounts of paper, and ensure having a complied filing system in place which is accessible to auditors and the team, in addition to managing the (Agresso) system. Also he/she will support in managing the stock, fleet, and assets in MERO (Middle East Regional Office).

 

Ideal Candidate Profile:

A university degree in business administration or any other related field, with a minimum of 3 years’ experience in logistics, preferably in the INGO’s and humanitarian sector.

A details oriented, organized, trustworthy, committed and accurate person. A team player who enjoys engaging with different people and suppliers. Excellent communication and networking skills to build strong relations with our partners and suppliers in the field of logistics.

Some experience in bids ,tenders, and the local Jordanian market, and very good computer skills, IT skills are desirable.

Good command of English is a must.


Key Job Tasks and Responsibilities:

  1. Support Logistic officer in doing  Logistic and financial analysis and analytical studies as requested

  2. Assist in Monitoring fuel consumption on Al Manaseer system for 2 MERO cars

  3. Assist in Car maintenance and checking  in general

  4. He is considered to be a temporary relief for Logistic Officer during his leave.

  5. Perform other duties that may be assigned from time to time by the manager

  6. Support line manager in stock management

  7. support in proceeding for procurement less than 700JOD

     

Additional:

[12 months’ contract]

Duty Station: Amman, Jordan
