Under the Technical supervision of the Logistics officer NOB prepares requests for transport/distributions, manage the regional warehouse, obtains quotations from local vendors, monitors status of local shipments/ distributions and maintains the filing of the logistics unit.

Purpose of the Position
Under the Technical supervision of the Logistics officer NOB prepares requests for transport/distributions, manage the regional warehouse, obtains quotations from local vendors, monitors status of local shipments/ distributions and maintains the filing of the logistics unit.
Key Accountabilities and Duties & Tasks
- Reviews incoming demand / transport orders to ensure completeness and appropriateness of specifications/Terms of Reference.
- Drafts distribution plans and supports the implementation by service providers/partners.
- Supports evaluations of offers through e.g. preparation of tabulation sheets, and assists in analysis of offers in transport and distribution
- Manage the regional warehouse in collaboration with partners.
- Support governmental partners at regional/district level in training on basic in logistics (stock & warehouse management.
- Maintain and monitor all manual and computerized reports related to logistics activities
Qualifications of Successful Candidate
Education
First university degree or equivalent (BTS / DUT) in, economics or law or logistics, supplemented by courses in technical or Supply, logistics or related field
Experience
Minimum 7 years of work experience, in procurement, logistics or other administrative function in a commercial working environment. Experience with computer databases, for the maintenance of procurement records
Language Requirements
Fluency in French and good working knowledge of English
