Business impacts on children’s rights in a significant way and therefore UNICEF Thailand aims to place children’s rights at the centre of the business agenda for social responsibility and sustainability.

Under the supervision of the Deputy Representative, the incumbent, as programme manager, will develop, manage and evaluate non-financial partnerships with the corporate community in support of UNICEF’s mission, objectives and programme in the country, setting child rights agenda in policy and advocacy development related to business sector and enhance the organisation’s credibility and brand as a technical expert in the area of child rights and responsible business.  The incumbent is also expected to provide technical inputs in line with UNICEF’s strategic Framework on CSR/Children's Rights and Business Principle (CRBP) and manage programmatic alliances with the national CSR related agencies including business industry champions and companies, Stock Exchange of Thailand (SET) and Chambers of Commerce in Thailand. 

 

Major Responsibilities

  1. You will lead the implementation of CSR and Advocacy strategies; also providing technical Inputs in line with UNICEF’s Strategic Framework on Child Rights and Business Principles and tools.
  2. You will responsible for Advocacy with Government of Thailand, industry bodies, business industry associations and national think tanks on CSR/ Business Responsibility. Providing technical inputs to and managing strategic alliances with the SET and other technical partnerships including capacity building.
  3. You will develop strategies / intervention on CSR relevant to relationship management with counterparts, delivering agreed partnership plans and ensuring activities are high quality, focused and generate results.
  4. You will be accounted for increasing an engagement/ participation of government, companies and partners, building and cultivating Corporate Relations/ Partnerships Management; including Identifying and scoping potential corporate partners.
  5. You will be the main focal point on monitoring and evaluation of the Thailand CSR/CRBP Strategy as a main advocacy tool towards achieving results and other documentation as needed including those for knowledge sharing.
  6. You will collaborate closely with internal stakeholders to support the partnership with the private sector in implementing their programmatic activities.
  7. You will manage the CSR programme including planning, budget, disbursement of funds to partners, related supply, reporting and other management tasks.
  8. You will provide technical support in other related tasks; such as capacity building, cross-sectoral working group and others.

 

To qualify as a champion for every child you will have…

  • Advanced university degree in Development, Law, Economics, CSR, Human’s Rights, Social Science or any related field.

** A first level university degree with a relevant combination of academic qualifications and experience may be accepted in lieu of the advanced university degree. **

  • Minimum 5 years of professional experience in the relevant field, experience in consulting/programme development with particular focus on CSR, business and human rights, business sustainability, Corporate Partnerships, and communication activities, desirable.
  • Thai Nationality only.
  • Experience in working with high level officials or decision makers.
  • Sound and up-to-date knowledge of corporate partnership management and corporate social responsibility as well as sustainability.  
  • Current knowledge of international development issues and experience of corporate engagement, advocacy, communication or other Country.
  • Fluency in written and spoken English and Thai.  Knowledge of another UN language an asset.
  • Good organizational, persuasive and communications (oral and written) skills.
  • Attention to details.
  • Good analytical, negotiation and networking skills.
  • Tact, discretion, self-starter and good judgment.
  • Ability to work under minimum supervision.
  • Proven ability to conceptualize, plan and execute ideas.
  • Ability to handle and complete multiple tasks within deadlines.
  • Proficiency in the use of computers, including internet navigation and various office applications.
