The Norwegian Refugee Council (NRC) is a non-governmental, humanitarian organization with 60 years of experience in helping to create a safer and more dignified life for refugees and internally displaced people. NRC advocates for the rights of displaced populations and offers assistance within the shelter, education, emergency food security, legal assistance, and water,sanitation and hygiene sectors.

The Norwegian Refugee Council has approximately 5000 committed and competent employees involved in projects across four continents. In addition, NRC runs one of the world’s largest standby rosters -NORCAP, with 650 professionals, ready to be deployed on 72 hours notice when a crisis occurs

Job Description

NRC HO is looking for a Corporate Relations Advisor who will be responsible for building NRC’s relationships and collaborations with corporations and business leaders in the Norwegian and Nordic marked. To achieve this, some of the core activities will be to:

  • Carry out fundraising activities targeting existing corporate donors, campaigns and crisis fundraising
  • Stewarding existing corporate partnerships to maintain strong relationships
  • Identify and establish new corporate partnerships
  • Work consultatively and collaboratively with all NRC departments to identify concepts and suitable opportunities for corporate partnership
  • Contribute to develop and implement NRC’s global corporate partnership strategy
  • Develop and implement NRC’s corporate partnership strategy in the Nordic market
  • Develop and implement fundraising activities towards the corporate sector/business leaders
  • Analyse and monitor the broader business environment and market trends relevant to NGO-corporate collaboration
  • Ensure that tasks and activities in the corporate partnership unit are executed according to strategies, plans and procedures.
  • Monitor and evaluate fundraising income, activities and costs 

 

Qualifications

  • Minimum 5 years of relevant experience within marketing, communications and/or corporate social responsibility
  • Professional knowledge of the corporate sector/marked
  • Documented results related to strategic relationship building, partnerships and networking
  • Experience from project management
  • Experience with design and developing new fundraising or marketing/sales campaigns, initiatives and/or proposals
  • Experience in contributing to the development of fundraising and marketing or sales strategy
  • Fluency in Norwegian and English, both written and verbal
