We are looking for a highly qualified project Manager (BPRM) will be in charge of the successful continuation of ongoing activities of a complex multi-million BPRM funded protection and livelihood project implemented in Amman, Karak and Ma’an. Working closely with the Head of Program, Livelihood and Protection Units as well as DRC support services . 
 
Who are we? 
DRC is an international non-governmental organization, which promotes and supports durable solutions to the problems faced by refugees and internally displaced people all over the world. With the vision that no displaced person must be in want of help to find protection and durable solutions, DRC provides assistance and protection to conflict-affected in many of the major conflicts in Asia, Africa and Middle East. The assistance can consist of relief and other humanitarian aid, rehabilitation and support to returning home, and the promotion of durable solutions. 
 
About the job 
The Project Manager (BPRM) and his/her team will ensure that all project objectives are met and contribute to improved social cohesion between refugees and Jordanian host communities in DRC’s 3 community centres. The project manager will also act as main focal point for DRC’s 3 implementing partners on the project. 
 
 
Duties and Responsibilities
 
Project Management 
• Ensure a timely and quality implementation of the project outputs as per agreement signed with the donor; 
• Manage all aspects of the project (human resources, finance, logistics, security, reporting etc) in the most efficient and effective manner; 
• Manage project budget through regular meetings with Finance Manager and provide financial risk analysis when required; 
• Provide requested monthly and quarterly reporting to the HOP and take lead in all donor reporting requirements; 
• Recruit, interview, and hire new project staff; 
• Management and appraisal of the project team members; 
• Oversee performance evaluation and identify capacity building needs; 
• Support the PQM to ensure regular monitoring of project activities and impact; 
• Participate in country strategic reviews, linking with the project itself and any potential future program developments (including fundraising) of similar nature.  
 
Project Coordination 
• Monitor partner’s progress and take necessary actions with DRC Partnership Manager to ensure project meets its goals; 
• Coordinate with the partner project team, ensuring that services delivered meet DRC quality standards; 
• Support the partnership Senior Officer in identifying capacity building needs of the partner; 
• Maintain a constructive and cordial relationship with the partner throughout the project implementation; 
• Coordinate with Amman and South Field Coordinators to ensure adequate representation and strong relation with local authorities and other relevant local stakeholders; 
• Manage regular donor field visits; 
 
Technical overview 
• Ensure recommendations and guidance provided by technical units are incorporated into field activities and work plans; 
• Facilitate the roll-out of technical resources, materials, and tools for project deliverables;  
• Engage in regular communication with heads of technical units on project implementation strategy and needed support; 
• Oversee implementation of psychosocial support, cash assistance and community based protection activities, in line with DRC SOPs and protection standards; 
• Oversee implementation of livelihood counselling and referral services, in-center employability skills trainings, business expansion grants, and community dialogue tables for inclusive local economic development planning; 
 
 
 
About you 
 
To be successful in this role you must have:  
 
Qualifications/ experience:  
• Mater degree in social sciences, humanities, development studies or other relevant fields. 
• At least 5 years professional experience in the humanitarian sector 
• Excellent knowledge of the project management cycle and experience managing multi-million projects with large teams 
• Previous experience working in the Middle East 
• Previous experience managing protection and/or livelihood projects 
• Willingness to live and be based outside the capital Amman (Either Karak or Wadi Musa) 
• Previous experience working with BPRM or USAID 
• Ability to communicate key information in an easy to understand, informative and collaborative manner 
• Good knowledge of the Core Humanitarian Standards or other accountability measures/standards. 
• High integrity and willingness to conduct her/himself transparently and open to scrutiny 
• English (fluent) 
• Arabic would be a strong advantage

We offer 
 
DRC will offer the successful applicant a year contract, renewable dependent on both funding and performance. You must be available to start on mid-September 2017 and be willing and able to work in Amman and South -Jordan.
