Job description

  • In coordination with their line manager, responsible for carrying out field assessments.
  • Responsible for the distribution of emergency commodities in the field based on NRC’s emergency distribution guidelines.
  • Acts as a link between NRC and beneficiary communities providing information on NRC’s activities, profile, mandate and distribution rules and procedures.
  • Assist the line manager in identifying eligible beneficiaries for assistance.
  • Supervise and monitors cash for work and other cash-based initiatives in the field.
  • Assist the line manager in preparing assessment reports.
  • Assist the line manager in preparing survey reports.
  • Assist the line manager with all other Emergency-related tasks as directed.
  • Adhere to NRC policies, tools, handbooks and guidelines
  • Implement independently procedures and activities within own function or core competency as delegated
  • Prepare and develop status reports as required by management.
  • Ensure proper filing of documents
  • Promote and share ideas for improvement in your area of expertise

Qualifications

  • Minimum of a university degree in social science, economics, rural development or in other related fields.
  • At least 2 years of experience in an international NGO preferably in an emergency or post-conflict setting, including knowledge in the joint assessments and
  • Experience with and knowledge of principles and current approaches to monitoring and evaluation in relief and development programs, using both quantitative and qualitative methods
  • Demonstrated ability to transfer knowledge to diverse audiences through training, mentoring and other formal and non-formal methods
  • English language proficiency (speaking, reading, writing)
  • Fluency in Dari, Pashtu
  • Computer skills, including MS Office (Word, Excel)
