SOS Children’s Villages International is the umbrella organisation for the global federation of SOS Children’s Villages. As a non-governmental social development organisation we help children without parental care and families in difficult living conditions through services in care, education, health and emergency relief, and we advocate for children’s rights. We work in 135 countries and territories, reaching over one million children, young people, families and caregivers each year.

Mission

The Treasury Advisor Front Office is responsible for the financial contracting and is intermediate between Shared Treasury Services and the external counterparts. S/he develops and executes the asset management and risk management strategies. In addition s/he observes and analyses the market.

Tasks and responsibilities

  • Enable transparency, accountability as well as the efficient and proper use of funds in the Federation
  • Provide services to Member Associations especially policies, tools, consulting, training and monitoring
  • Coordinate the allocation of programmes to funding partners and co-ordinate and execute the flow of funds between these funding partners
  • Manage financial risks of the Federation on an on-going basis, focusing on accountability in the use of resources and sustainability in the federation-wide funding model
  • Provide information relevant to management and legal bodies for controlling and decision-making
  • Be an integral part of the Federation and act as financial business advisors while ensuring fiduciary compliance

Requirements

  • Advanced degree in Economics, Business Administration or Management with specialisation in Banking and Finance
  • Relevant experience in bank/treasury with strong understanding of capital markets as well as product knowledge
  • Interest and insight in treasury-related matters
  • Understanding of capital markets, strong product knowledge
  • Proven track record for FX spot and forward trading
  • Strong communication skills in German and at least B2 English level
  • Professional handling of MS-office applications, in particular strong Excel knowledge
  • Work experience with Treasury Management Systems (Reval), 360T, and Market Information Systems (Reuters, Bloomberg) would be an advantage
  • Good team player, interpersonal skills and intercultural understanding
  • Applicants must hold a valid Austrian working permit or be eligible to work within the EU
