We are looking for experienced candidates to fill the position of Outreach Assistant ,will play a role in ensuring that the target beneficiary population in Irbid/Jarash and Mafraq governorates are informed on and aware for CfW protection monitoring as well as employability trainings and job referral services through DRC’s community centers in Mafraq and Irbid.

DRC is an international non-governmental organization, which promotes and supports durable solutions to the problems faced by refugees and internally displaced people all over the world. With the vision that no displaced person must be in want of help to find protection and durable solutions, DRC provides assistance and protection to conflict-affected in many of the major conflicts in Asia, Africa and Middle East. The assistance can consist of relief and other humanitarian aid, rehabilitation and support to returning home, and the promotion of durable solutions. 
 
 
About the job 
 
In Irbid, Mafraq and Jarash Governorates, DRC is currently implementing two projects as a part of a nation-wide initiatives funded by GIZ which aims to contribute to improve the self-reliance capacities of vulnerable Syrian refugee and Jordanian populations; under green infrastructure in Jordan through Labor-intensive measures, and waste to positive energy programs.  
 
 
 
Duties and Responsibilities 
 
• Meet with the communities (Syrian refugees and vulnerable Jordanians) in their living areas in order to systematically and efficiently provide information of services available (from the DRC, GIZ and from other actors); 
• Collect all relevant information and suggestions from the communities and communicate them to the Out-reach officer and Livelihood Senior Officer for efficient planning of trainings and information sessions; 
• Assist in create a map of employment opportunities and referral options by meeting with private sector actors in the target area; 
• Identify local leaders and networks to themselves reach out and disseminate the available information and collect needs; 
• Help to identify job seekers from the out-reach activities and home visits; 
• Establish and maintain relationships with private businesses, community leaders, and networks. 
• Perform all necessary community outreach activities and document good practices and lessons learnt; 
• Adhere to any internal work plans created by either the out-reach Officer, Livelihood senior officer, or Project manager.  
• Assist in the regular collection of information regarding beneficiary and community needs to feed in assessments and reports; 
• Issue work permits and medical insurance for CFW beneficiaries when applicable. 
• Assist in the enforcement of HAP Principles of Accountability;  
• Ensure the application of DRC Code of Conduct and DRC Policies and Procedures. 
 
 
About you 
 
To be successful in this role you must have:  
 
Qualifications/Experience: 
• Diploma degree or higher in relevant area (e.g. economics, development studies, Business) 
• Ability to work effectively as an integral part of multi-disciplinary, multi-cultural team and to work with a wide range of government and community counterparts, and other actors; 
• Demonstrated commitment to serving vulnerably individuals with respect, patience and understanding;  
• Understanding of the socio-economic conditions of Syrian refugee populations; 
• Ability to think creatively and be solution oriented; 
• Ability and willingness to maintain regular presence at project sites and to work during irregular working hours; 
• Ability to write reports in a timely fashion; 
• Computer skills (Excel, Microsoft, PowerPoint and Outlook). 
• Level of Arabic (fluent) and English (good)

You must be available to start work on As Soon As Possible and be willing and able to work in North (Irbid/Jeresh/Mafraq) -Jordan.  
Salary and conditions will be in accordance with Danish Refugee Council’s Terms of Employment for Nationals. This position will be placed at Grade C.
