We are looking for a highly qualified 2 Compliance Assistants one for Irbid and one for Mafraq, Compliance Assistant will be responsible for ensuring GIZ’s CfW programming is implemented in a manner that complies with international standards and best practices. 
 
 
 
Who are we? 
 
DRC is an international non-governmental organization, which promotes and supports durable solutions to the problems faced by refugees and internally displaced people all over the world. With the vision that no displaced person must be in want of help to find protection and durable solutions, DRC provides assistance and protection to conflict-affected in many of the major conflicts in Asia, Africa and Middle East. The assistance can consist of relief and other humanitarian aid, rehabilitation and support to returning home, and the promotion of durable solutions. 
 
 
About the Job 
 
In Irbid and Mafraq governorates, DRC is implementing a project funded by GIZ to support its activities under the Waste to Positive Energy Program. This will include CfW protection monitoring as well as employability trainings and job referral services through DRC’s community centers in Irbid and Mafraq. 
 
 
 
 
Duties and Responsibilities 
 
• Collect all complaints (verbally and in written format) from individuals engaged in CfW programming and/ or have received job referrals by DRC, including complaints around work conditions and contractual matters (when relevant), etc.; 
• Ensure efficient referral of complaints to the responsible party, such as GIZ and/or the municipality and follow up in a timely manner to ensure appropriate actions are taken; 
• Maintain clear tracking procedures for each case, including who it was referred to and action taken (if any); 
• Hold regular open office hours where individuals may come in person to raise concerns about job placements or workplace concerns; 
• Maintain clear communication with the DRC Accountability Officer based in Amman to ensure that complaints about the placement process completed by DRC or other services from DRC are referred to the DRC Complaints Response Mechanism.  
• Upon being trained, ensure beneficiaries have access to information about their legal rights in the workplace, and- in coordination with the Livelihoods Officer- facilitate information sessions about labor law and workers’ rights as necessary;  
• Support the senior Livelihoods Officer with ongoing monitoring of the project, including through facilitating exit interviews, follow up assessments and FGDs when relevant;  
• Remembering confidentiality, analyze patterns and trends in complaints and feedback to help DRC improve its programming and partnerships with various employers. 
• Assist in the enforcement of HAP Principles of Accountability;  
• Ensure the application of DRC Code of Conduct and DRC Policies and Procedures. 
 
 
 
About you 
 
To be successful in this role you must have:  
 
Qualifications/ experience:  
• Diploma degree or higher in relevant area (e.g. economics, development studies, Business, IT,) 
• Ability to work effectively as an integral part of multi-disciplinary, multi-cultural team and to work with a wide range of government and community counterparts, and other actors; 
• Good interpersonal skills and ability to foster communication and negotiation among local stakeholders; 
• Strong organizational and time management skills; 
• High integrity and willingness to conduct her/himself transparently and open to scrutiny; 
• Genuine care and respect for needs of others, particularly vulnerable populations; 
• Strong belief in empowering marginalized and disenfranchised people; 
• Ability to respect and maintain confidentiality; 
• The ability to prioritize competing demands. 
• Computer skills (Excel, Microsoft, PowerPoint and Outlook). 
• Past work experience of 1 year with a local or international NGO; 
Relevant background experience working in compliance, accountability, complaints management, etc. highly desirable. 
• Arabic (fluent) with excellent verbal communication skills.  
• English (very good) in written and spoken

We offer 
 
DRC will offer the successful applicant a Six months including three month as probation period, renewable dependent on both funding and performance. You must be available to start work As Soon As Possible and be willing and able to work in North one for Mafraq and one for Irbid -Jordan.
