Context:

Under the direct supervision of the Programme Manager (Shelter/NFI) and overall supervision of the Emergency Coordinator (EC) in Cox’s Bazar, Bangladesh and in coordination with the relevant units the successful candidate will assist the concerned programme units with implementation of their programmes.

Core Functions / Responsibilities:

1. Support the Shelter/NFI Programme Management Team in the direct implementation of the IOM Bangladesh’s Shelter/NFI Programme.

2. Ensure timely and adequate implementation of the Shelter/NFI Programme activities in line

with the Shelter/NFI program strategy, programme guidelines, targets and deadlines: namely the identification of area of intervention and beneficiaries, Shelter/NFI distribution, Shelter Cash for Work programme, and the safer shelter trainings.

3. Provide regular and detailed reports to the Emergency Coordinator and the Shelter/NFI Programme Manager on the implementation of the programme, including progress reports, beneficiary lists in locations, and staff/volunteer activities to enable the implementation of the programme as planned.

Page 1 / 34. Track/verify both procurement and distribution data in coordination with the Warehouse Logistic Officer and the Shelter/NIF Field Focal Points. Provide operational data that will be used for distribution planning.

5. Liaise with Implementation Partners (IPs), and compile shelter/NFI pipeline request. Assist in having implementation agreement. Follow up IPs as necessary to ensure timely and quality data/reports received.

6. Ensure adequate information sharing internally and externally, including weekly 4W report to the Shelter Sector.

7. Undertake field visit and liaise with counterparts as per programme requirements. 8. Compile and draft shelter program beneficiaries’ stories.

9. Ensure close coordination with local government authorities in all phases of the programmes implementation.

10. Ensure that the integration of cross-cutting issues such as environment, gender, children, Gender Based Violence (GBV) and other vulnerable groups are considered in the programme implementation.

11. Ensure donor visibility in all of the activities of the Shelter/NFI Programme. 12. Represent the IOM Shelter/NFI Programme in Shelter Sector, donor, and Government meetings and establish partnerships with relevant stakeholders. Take minutes of the meeting and keep track of those meetings for filing and reporting purposes.

13. Undertake duties delegated by the respective supervision, hold self-accountable in completion of assigned task and manage resources efficiently.

14. Perform such other duties as may be assigned.

Required Qualifications and Experience:

Education

• Master’s degree in Social Science, Law, Management, Information Management, Disaster Risk Management or a related field from an accredited academic institution with two years of relevant professional experience; or

• University degree in the above fields with four years of relevant professional experience. Experience

• Experience in humanitarian emergencies;

• Demonstrated ability to supervise and manage staff at an operational level in humanitarian emergencies;

• Experience in shelter/NFI, pipeline management is an advantage.

Languages

Fluency in English is required. Working knowledge of Bangla is an advantage. Desirable Competencies:
