Danish Refugee Council, one of the world’s leading humanitarian NGOs, is currently looking for a highly qualified candidate who would like to work with DRC as Monitoring Evaluation and Learning Assistant.

About the job 

The Monitoring and Evaluation Assistant will be working under the direct supervision of the Monitoring, Evaluation and Learning Manager . She/he will be responsible of communicating M&E information, gathering data from the field staff, follow up on activities and reporting.

 

Your main duties and responsibilities will be: 

• Organize and conduct monitoring visits with DRC beneficiaries and to DRC program sites; 
• Assist the MEL Officer/Manager carry out the daily/weekly/monthly work plan; 
• Assist the MEL Officer/Manager with administrative and logistic requirements of the M&E Team; 
• Ensure monitoring schedule, data collection targets, and reporting deadlines are adhered to; 
• Assist with all other duties as required by the MEL Officer/Manager. 
 
About you 
To be successful in this role we expect you to have undergraduate degree/advanced diploma in social sciences, humanities, quantitative/qualitative research methods, public health, or related field or high school diploma we also expect the following:

 

Required  

• 1-2 years of relevant work experience – preferably in social work, community development, non-government, and/or outreach organizations; 
• Good knowledge of local context and community in the Bekaa area; 
• Computer skills: Knowledge of MS Word, Excel and Access required; 
• Excellent interpersonal/communication skills and a strong team spirit; 
• Self-motivated and organized with a demonstrated capacity to manage time and personal work plan; 
• Experience working with communities, families and individuals with special needs; 
• Experience using survey and/or database software and tools;High School diploma or fresh graduate

 

Desirable 

• Fluency in Arabic 
• English: Good written and spoken

We offer 

Contract length: 3 months – renewable based on fund and performance. 
Level:  B1 
Duty Station: Bekaa 
Start date: January 2018
