Action Against Hunger is an international non-governmental, non-religious and non-profit organization created in 1979. Its goal is to combat hunger and dangerous situations that threaten men, women and children. Currently 500 expats and more than 5,000 employees are working for Action Against Hunger in more than forty-six countries working in projects concerning four areas of focus: Nutrition, Food, Security and Livelihood, Water, Sanitation and Hygiene, Disaster Risk Reduction Management, Advocacy and Good Governance.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • To implement and coordinate the participatory governance activities;
  • To gather progress report information;
  • To support the Team Leaders and the Consortium/Advocacy Coordinator and in mentoring the beneficiaries and assist in the conduct of trainings

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Experience in policy fields, good governance, advocacy and government relations;
  • Knowledge of one or more substantive areas including LGU performance in social development, LGU-CSO collaboration, and good governance;
  • Experience in resource generation in LGU context;
  • Excellent knowledge of political processes and experience working with CSOs to advocate for change and CSO intuitional development;
  • Demonstrated excellent knowledge and experience in Project Cycle Management;
  • Good knowledge of budget management;
  • Previous exposure and experience in assessment, monitoring, or evaluation of projects; Knowledge in partnerships development and alliances is desirable.
