The Norwegian Refugee Council has approximately 5000 committed and competent employees involved in projects across four continents. In addition, NRC runs one of the world’s largest standby rosters -NORCAP, with 650 professionals, ready to be deployed on 72 hours notice when a crisis occurs

Job description
- Supports Finance in ensuring that country set up adhere to Financial Handbook, NRC policies, donor and auditor requirements
- Implement NRC’s financial systems, routines and procedures
- Works with Finance Manager to maintain overall budget control and monitor cash flows
- Training of line finance coordinator and other staff with financial responsibilities
- Provide regular analysis and reports
- Implement anti-corruption policy
- Promote the rights of IDPs/returnees in line with the advocacy strategy
- Responsible for adherence to NRC policies, guidance and procedures
- Accountable for relevant high quality finance support to programmes
- Responsible for financial management, control systems and adherence to Financial Handbook , Anti-Corruption Policy, donor and auditor requirements
- Responsible for input on operational support cost in proposal development, and to coordinate and align operational support with programme plans
- Responsible for maintaining high quality financial reporting to donors
- Resposible for grants revision, amendments and closer
- Ensure that monthly financial reporting is conducted across areas (Budget vs Actual reports for support & project costs, projections up to the grants end date.)
- Responsible for capacity building of all finance staff and of programme staff in budget development/control
- Manage performance and staff development of staff reporting to Finance Advisor Responsible for a management culture, a working and learning environment in line with NRC's values and leadership/management framework
- Promote the rights of IDPs/refugees
Qualifications
- University Degree in the field of Finance, Master is prefereable
- Minimum 3 years of experience from working as a senior Financial Manager in a humanitarian/recovery context
- Experience from working in complex and volatile contexts
- Documented results related to the position’s responsibilities
- Knowledge about own leadership skills/profile
- Solid knowledge of computer software and modern accounting systems
- Fluency in English, both written and verbal
- Valid driver’s license
Education field
- Education title: University Degree in the field of Finance, Master is prefereable
