CARE is a leading international humanitarian aid organisation fighting global poverty, with a special focus on working with women and girls to bring lasting change to their communities.

CARE Australia is looking to fill the newly created position of Gender Advisor and Trainer (WASH) to expand its Gender Equality Unit. The role is responsible for supporting CARE Australia to address issues for gender equality and women’s empowerment as a fundamental aspect of fighting poverty and social injustice. The role will support a range of programs with a particular focus on WASH, gender training and workshop facilitation and contribute to building CARE’s gender transformative training modules and facilitation guides for partners overseas and within Australia.

Your extensive experience working in international development programs, particularly in WASH will be highly regarded. Your high-level training and facilitation skill will complement your demonstrated experience in developing and delivering gender equality training. Your demonstrated experience in designing and conducting project and program level gender analysis in WASH and other sectors will set you apart from others.
