CARE is a leading international humanitarian aid organisation fighting global poverty, with a special focus on working with women and girls to bring lasting change to their communities.

CARE Australia is looking to fill the position of Girls’ Education Program Manager in our Papua New Guinea Office. As consortium lead, the Program Manager will provide technical and strategic advice to all partners to ensure high quality implementation and delivery of results in accordance with program plans and frameworks. The position will regularly liaise and communicate with program partners, PNG government stakeholders, the PNG Partnerships Fund (PPF), the Australian Government’s DFAT in PNG and other PPF education grantees. There will be a particular focus on ensuring program quality and alignment with best practice and CARE International’s guiding frameworks and policies.

Your demonstrated experience working in the education sector, preferably with experience managing programs that strengthen education service delivery and children’s learning outcomes will be highly regarded. Your program management experience and the ability to manage large budgets and complex programs, preferably within an international NGO will set you apart from others. Demonstrated ability to manage and support numerous stakeholders with experience in capacity building of staff and local partners will be complemented by your leadership skills, the ability to manage performance, and to coach and motivate a large and diverse team.
