We are currently seeking to recruit an:

Advocacy Intern

Responsibilities/Duties:

The main responsibilities would be to support the Advocacy Senior Specialist with:

  • Desk research on land, housing and property rights.

  • Desk research on African Union institutions, policies and programmes on land and housing.

  • Desk research on the international development agenda and data collection.

  • Support Advocacy Specialist as an assistant in:

  • Preparation of grant proposals.

  • Arranging conferences, meetings and minute taking.

  • Updating database of advocacy stakeholders.

  • Drafting official correspondence with business partners.

    Working time - approximately 10 – 15 hrs per week (flexible) or for extended periods of one to three months.

Requirements:

  • University student, bachelor degree or studying towards a Master’s degree.

  • Openness to learn.

  • Excellent command of English.

  • Analytical ability.

  • Willingness to do administrative work.

  • Interest in housing/land issues/advocacy/legal and economic issues/grants.
