UNICEF Lebanon is looking for an intern support in the analysis of the immunization data, to be cross-checked with the epidemiological surveillance. The objective of the internship is to improve the quality and the flow of immunization data, from implementation of Measles control at cadaster level within the governorates, to better adjust the planning and programming of the Measles response, in an immunization system strengthening approach.

How can you make a difference?

. Support in quality data collection, organization of data bank, timely analysis, and feedback to influence strategic priority in the implementation of the Measles response


. Contribute to the national data bank and ensure timely and quality submission of data.


. Contribution to donor advocacy materials and to communication/ advocacy materials on Measles response


. Contribute in the documentation of best practices and lessons learned from implementation to influence national policy shift

. Monthly tables, graphs, analysis, presentation and documentation by districts and cadasters to be used for timely monitoring and evidence planning and programming, and support better results for children

Responsibilities:

- The supervisor, Health and nutrition officer in the zonal office will provide coaching, training and guidance to the Intern.
- The intern is expected to work from the UNICEF Lebanon, zonal office. A designated workspace will be assigned will be provided.
- Travel to between two governorates and to Beirut office are anticipated as part of this assignment. (average one travel per month)

Timing:

The duration of the assignment is three months on a full-time basis. The successful candidate can arrange their working days flexibly, depending on the work plan they jointly prepare with the section team.

To qualify as an advocate for every child you will have…

- Enrolled in a degree programme in an undergraduate or graduate school in one of the following fields: Public health, population studies, family health, economics, business, or any related field providing training in epidemiology, in bio-statistics.
- Excellent academic performance as demonstrated by recent university or institution records.
- Excellent written communication skills.
- Good knowledge of MS Office and computer skills (MS applications, especially Word, Publisher, and Excel, SPSS as asset).
- Strong command of English is essential. Knowledge of Arabic and/or French is considered an asset.
- A high level of individual responsibility, commitment and initiative.
- Demonstrates openness in sharing information and keeping people informed.
