Is responsible to the Housemaster.

Primary Duties and Responsibilities

In accordance with established Agency policy and procedures, assists the Housemaster in the center to which assigned in:

•         Ensuring the general welfare of trainees in residence and the maintenance of discipline in the dormitories and common rooms, particularly after normal working house, and in the dining rooms during meal times;

•         Ensuring that high standards of cleanliness are maintained in the dormitories in the dormitories at all times.

•         Organizing and/or coordinating recreation activities as required;

•         Organizing and supervising the work of domestic staff, and the nurse in the center.

•         Performs such other duties as may be assigned.

Minimum Qualifications

•         Completion of full secondary education with good knowledge of Arabic and English.

•         A minimum of one year experience in a similar post or as a social worker or as a teacher.

Other Qualifications

Ability in leadership and in the handling of mature age groups of students.

Desirable Qualifications

•         Possession of a teacher training or social worker certificate.

•         Should be in the 30-40 years age group.

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION

As incumbent will be provided with single accommodation, he must be prepared to live in a dormitory with the trainees in the center.
