- Support the International DRM Consultant to engage regional and federal stakeholders in consultation with the Ministry of Agriculture and Livestock Resources (MoALR) to identify capacities available for development and implementation of the Agriculture Sector DRM Plan
- Develop the DRM component implementation plan, Agriculture Sector DRM Plan and associated documents
- Assist the development and signature process of MOU and LoA with identified partners at the regional level
- Facilitate workshops and meetings for DRM awareness raising and capacity building in coordination with MoALR
- Establish, maintain and coordinate effective linkages between different stakeholders involved in the agriculture sector at federal and regional levels in coordination with the DRM component manager
- Support in monitoring of project component outputs, and ensure both institutional and technical capacities are available for quality and timely development of DRM component outputs
- Support the recruitment process of consultants and contracting of implementing partners, whenever applicable
- Support the organisation of the learning events of the projects at the regional level
- Organize regular field monitoring visits of project activities and partner organizations
- Provide inputs for effective communication with stakeholders
- Perform other duties as required.CANDIDATES WILL BE ASSESSED AGAINST THE FOLLOWINGMinimum Requirements\:
- University degree in agriculture, agricultural economics, rural development, management and or related discipline
- At least 12 years of professional experience in DRM/DRR resilience projects at managerial level combining strategic planning, policy dialogue, monitoring, implementation and supervision of staff. Five years of experience in capacity building and facilitating trainings

- Experience in coordination and implementing of humanitarian relief and or development project preferably in one or more of the areas which include Agriculture, Livelihoods & economic development, food security and resilience
- Demonstrated competence to support institutional capacity building processes
- Demonstrated ability to work independently and under tight deadlines
- Strong communication, writing and presentation skills in EnglishSelection Criteria\:
- Extent and depth of knowledge and experience in DRM/DRR
- Breadth of coordination experience and demonstrated ability to prepare work plans, budgets and reports
- Demostrable experience in awareness raising and capacity building for disaster risk management
- Knowledge of UN and/or EU procedures will be an advantage
