Research Assistant (19-10)

The International Potato Center (CIP) seeks two Research Assistants (RA) for the project Quality Seed Potato Production Using Aeroponics and Select to Supply Short Duration Potato Varieties at Potato Technology Center, Shamgarh, Karnal, Haryana. 

About the project:

This is three-year project works in five different micro-agro-ecologies of Haryana, namely Karnal, Kurukshetra, Narnaul, Sirsa, and Palwal. The project aims to increase income through sustainable intensification of cropping intensity and value chains by increasing the access to quality potato seed of early-bulking, heat tolerant robust potato varieties.

About the role:

The Research Assistant will be a field-based job (physical location to be decided) and will report to the Senior Research Associate of the Project.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree or BSc in Agriculture, Agronomy, Agribusiness, or related areas.
  
• At least 3-years work experience in agriculture-related projects involving research for development.
  
• Advanced written and oral communication skills in English.
  
• Fluent in Hindi.
  
• Willingness to travel and occasionally render service beyond normal working hours.
