Transparency International (TI) is the global civil society organisation leading the fight against corruption. In collaboration with more than 100 chapters worldwide and an international secretariat in Berlin, Germany, TI raises awareness of the damaging effects of corruption and works with partners in government, business and civil society to develop and implement effective measures to tackle it.
Main function: | The IT Systems Coordinator / IT Operations Specialist provides information technology and information security leadership for TI-S. The role leads the helpdesk, administers and maintains the digital landscape, leads on infrastructure architecture and sets the application landscape in collaboration with the Head of Technology. |

Responsibilities:
- Administers and maintains computer infrastructure and all configurations, including computer hardware, operating systems, and applications for 100+ users in Berlin and approx. 2000 clients globally (ITIL role “IT Operations Manager”)
- Oversees the operations of the internal helpdesk with two staff (ITIL level 1-3 support staff)
- Continuously assesses IT security compliance in a high threat environment with persistent attacks
- Determines and implements changes/upgrades to improve systems and network configurations
- Evaluates, tests and deploys all software and hardware upgrades to servers and clients
- Supports and fully engages in the exchange of learning and expertise within a community of learning practice across TI-S in Berlin and the global TI Movement
Knowledge, experience and skills:
- Relevant ICT degree and/or relevant professional qualification/s or equivalent experience in the ICT sector; certifications like Microsoft MCSE/MSCA or ISC2 CISSP are an advantage
- 5+ years of relevant work experience in a medium size international organisation
- Experience with network architecture and administration
- Knowledge of IT security and IT business continuity/disaster recovery
- Experience with Microsoft on-premise and cloud solutions (Office365)
- Entrepreneurial spirit with inner drive to further the organisation’s use of IT to new levels
- Good interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate ICT matters to individuals with diverse backgrounds
- Demonstrated experience in the not-for-profit sector is an advantage
- Professional language proficiency in English required; proficiency in German an advantage
- Commitment to the values of Transparency International
- Willingness to travel, if needed
