Team Leader
Location: Glangwili General Hospital, Carmarthen SA31 2AF (requires travel within the area)
Contract type: Fixed Term until 30th of September 2019
Hours per week: 36
Salary: GBP 22,800 per annum

Fantastic opportunity has arisen for a positive, compassionate and solutions focused individual to join our Independent Living team as a Team Leader.

You will provide junior management support to the emergency department services. This involves the day-today co-ordination of the service and the line management of a team of paid staff and volunteers based in the emergency department.

The Independent Living (IL) & Crisis Response (CR) service (IL/CR) are dedicated to making the lives of vulnerable people that little bit better. We're a small team dotted all over the country that shares the same goal - to help those that need it most.

From picking up groceries to helping out around the house, we're there to make a difference. There's nothing better than knowing the time we spent with someone made them feel safer, happier, and more able to deal with crisis.  


About you...
To be successful in this position you must have the following skills and experience:

Good ICT skills across use of the internet, emailing, word processing, spreadsheets and databases
Ability to manage own workload, complete tasks effectively and meet deadlines
Understanding of key health and safety issues when working with volunteers and staff such as lone working and risk management
Understanding of key safeguarding issues associated with working with volunteers and staff such as POVA
Up to date knowledge of good HR practices and knowledge of the supervision and appraisal process
Educated to at least A level or equivalent by experience
Able to respond to emergency situations
Able to work non-social hours in a shift pattern
