The Cash for Urban Assistance Consortium (CUA) is a strong partnership between three international organisations, Action Against Hunger (AAH) as the leading party of this project, Norwegian Refugee Council (NRC) and Danish Refugee Council (DRC), that unite their experience to deliver effective cash assistance to support high vulnerable people in Colombia, including Venezuelan migrants, Colombians returning from Venezuela and host community members in Colombian territory.
The CUA Consortium requires strong leadership and in order to operate effectively and deliver cash assistance in response to the impact of the Venezuela situation.
The position of Consortium Project Director aims to ensure the programmatic, technical, financial and logistical development of AHH actions in the department where the actions are developed, in line with the strategic criteria of AHH in Colombia and the internal processes and regulations of AHH, donor and colombian laws. He coordinates the delivery of high-quality actions.
Training
- Professional in international studies economics sciences, engineering, social or related careers.
- Postgraduate study in international relations, international cooperation and development, political science or allied.
Specific technical knowledge
- Management of development cooperation projects.
- Human Resources Management.
- Knowledge of large donors; USAID, OFDA, FFP, BPRM.
Previous experience
- 7 years of international relief, experience working in humanitarian and development projects.
- Demonstrated experience working in the area of conflict and security management.
- Previous experience in managing consortium preferred.
- 4 years in the management and leadership of human resources (HR).
- Experience in Cash projects.
- Experience in large NGO's, UN or international development organization.
Knowledge of the humanitarian sector
- Understanding of the rights-based approach particularly in relation to conflict dynamics and peacebuilding.
- Previous experience in issues related to the promotion of gender equality or personal commitment to gender equality is valuable.
- Significant programming, advocacy, fundraising, and/or operations experience, working in both emergency and development contexts with NGOs and international organizations.
Knowledge of AAH
- Knowledge of the organization and its lines of action preferred.
Languages
- Excellent oral and written English and Spanish skills required.
Office and specific systems
- Mastery of Windows, essential advanced management of Excel and accounting systems, is valued management of SAGA, knowledge of ICT tools and openness to its innovative use.
Mobility
- Availability for geographic mobility (travel to work areas).
