Software Analyst / Support Engineer (f/m)

Location: Vienna, Austria

SOS Children’s Villages International is the umbrella organisation for the global federation of SOS Children’s Villages. As a non-governmental social development organisation we help children without parental care and families in difficult living conditions through services in care, education, health and emergency relief, and we advocate for children’s rights. We work in 136 countries and territories, reaching over one million children, young people, families and caregivers each year.

Mission

As a team we support the delivery of attractive international sponsorship services with global state-of-the-art systems solutions and drive an on-going innovation cycle. At present we are looking for an open and participative personality to join in a migration project to SaaS and take over the support and further development of the solution.

Tasks and Responsibilites
  • Accompany the migration project together with current team
  • Ensure support for end users with diverse levels of digital literacy
  • Steer and maintain the key user network
  • Perform error handling and analysis, issue and change management with external providers
  • Work proactively on the prevention of incidents
  • Ensure technical support for APIs with other systems
  • Keep user documentation alive and prepare and support/conduct end user trainings
  • Within a small team co-operate in analysing and optimising business processes
Requirements
  • Degree in Information Systems/IT/Administration with IT focus
  • Previous experience in IT service delivery, user support and customer service
  • Experience in the field of digital asset management systems (DAM) is an asset
  • Excellent communication skills to support users in an intercultural environment
  • Full command of written and verbal English (working language), German is an asset
  • Good command of software project management and issue tracking tools preferably JIRA
  • Excellent analytical skills and the ability to structure and explain technical content comprehensively to business functions
  • Analytical and proactive mind-set to drive best-practices and the use of common processes
  • Applicants must hold a valid Austrian working permit or be eligible to work within the EU
