OBJECTIVES OF THE PROGRAMME

As part of the overall General Management Division to the Regional Office, the Administrative Support Unit ensures the provision of infrastructure and support services in the area of property management, construction and security of WHO/EMR premises, office furniture, supplies and equipment, inventory management system, travel support and conferences, meetings privileges & immunities, concession contracts and contacts with local Host Government Authorities.

DESCRIPTION OF DUTIES

Ensures the efficient operation of all types of the audio/video equipment and systems installed in the RO.
Assists in the maintenance of the AV equipment and infrastructure of the meetings facilities in the RO, including the Kuwait conference hall.
Provide the required recordings, exporting and photography for all meetings and events in the regional office.
Ensure the output of the broadcasting system of meetings held in Kuwait conference hall and confirms the proper recording of session.Carries out the emergency repairs for the office equipment, such as, photocopiers and fax machines, and report the situation to the maintenance companies.
Maintains log sheets and monitors the periodical maintenance and on call repairs, carried out by the external companies for the office equipment.
Ensures that the security equipment, such as the surveillance cameras, metal detectors, X-Ray machines and CCTV systems are in good working condition, and reports any discrepancies.
Assists in the maintenance of CCTV and Access control systems.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

Education

Essential\: Completion of secondary education supplemented by training in related field
Desirable\:

Experience

Essential\: At least two years of experience in the maintenance and operation of the meeting facilities, CCTV, Access control systems and office equipment.
Desirable\:

Skills

--> Good knowledge of meeting facilities operation, and maintenance.
--> Good knowledge of Access control, CCTV and X-ray machines.
Good knowledge of office equipment.

REMUNERATION

WHO offers staff in the General Services category an attractive remuneration package, which for the above position includes an annual net base salary starting at EGP 114,287 (subject to mandatory deductions for pension contributions and health insurance, as applicable) and 30 days of annual leave.
