Data Protection Legal Specialist

Reporting to the Head of Data Protection Office, the Data Protection Legal Specialist will be:  Supporting the Data Protection Officer in the implementation and ongoing development of the Agency’s data protection legal framework;  Informing and advising data controllers, data processors and staff members who carry out processing operations of their obligations pursuant to the applicable legal regime in place for EU institutions, bodies and agencies;  Monitoring compliance with the applicable legal regime in place for EU institutions, bodies and agencies, with internal data protection provisions and with the policies of the controller or processor in relation to the protection of personal data;  Delivering awareness-raising and training sessions of staff involved in processing operations;  Performing data protection related audits on processing operations upon personal data;  Providing advice where requested as regards the data protection impact assessment and monitor its performance and the filling of records;  Preparing and drafting templates, guidelines and procedures for different processing operations, including data protection impact assessments;  Cooperating with the supervisory authority and act as contact point when necessary;  Representing the Data Protection Officer both within the agency and in external meetings.
