Direct Dialogue Initiatives is a start-up that provides fundraising services to charities in India. We have around 200 staff based in 7 cities in India.

We are looking to hire an executive who would raise project based and/or unrestricted funds for clients of DDII, to support their Programs/Projects/Organisation Development, by securing long term funding commitments from Funding Agencies / Corporates/ High Networth Individuals etc.


Some of the key areas where you will create an impact are:
  • Develop a database of Funding Agencies and Companies engaged in philanthropic activities
  • Make calls and meet representatives of potential and/or existing funders on behalf of the client(s) to secure funding for the projects specified by the Client(s)
  • Draft project proposals and budgets with inputs from the Client(s) and submit the proposals / applications for securing required funding
  • Drafting and signing of Agreements, MoUs, etc. between DDIIs clients and Donor Agencies
  • Assist in development and maintenance of a compliance checklist (for the period of engagement) for DDIIs Clients, to ensure all criterias according to law are met by them before and after accepting the donations
  • Ensure smooth and timely information exchange between all stakeholders
  • Input into and assist in testing / implementing new ideas / models of fundraising
You would also be engaged in relationship building activities like:
  • Work with cross functional teams in DDII and in the client organisations to identify opportunities for collaborations to achieve set targets
  • Build relationships with funders to secure long-term grants and references in other funding agencies
  • Participate in meetings, conferences etc. to showcase work of DDII and its Clients and generate leads for fundraising
  • Manage relationships with existing or new funders contributing towards the work of DDIIs Clients
Some decisions that you will take are:
  • Make decision on which funders to approach on behalf of the Clients
  • Make decisions on who to approach and meet from the potential funders office
  • Make decision on which project/program to pitch and the associated budgets to be presented, in consultation with line manager and client(s)
What you will bring to this job:
  • Minimum 2 years-experience in Institutional / HNI / Corporate fundraising or Key Account Sales, is preferred
  • Experience of working with multiple stakeholders and clients and proven record of the same
  • Ability to design and execute tasks in a process-based model/approach
  • Experience of drafting proposals and budgets
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills Knowledge of English and Hindi is a must
  • Experience using of MS Office software internet and social media platforms for research purposes
  • Considerable knowledge of social sector and CSR regulations
  • Experience/Ability to work independently

A good organizer - Since the role involves dealing with work of multiple Clients simultaneously, a very systematic and organized work flow system needs to be created and maintained.
Good in analytics - Grants from Funding Agencies and CSR is a huge segment. In order to ensure that the Clients requirements are met as per plans, it is important to analyse all associated details, to match the right funding agency with the Clients work. Hence analysis of both financial and non financial data will be critical to ensure that an accurate budget and supporting narrative is created.
 
Innovative - Come up with innovative options to communicate the Clients work to potential funders / funders to ensure the proposal stands out.
 
A good people's person - This role requires constant communication and interface with multiple stakeholders within and outside DDII. The level at which engagements would happen will include people in the roles of BoD, CEOs, Executive Directors, Senior Managers, etc.
 
Pay for this position: Rs. 50,950/month. The cost to company is exclusive of medical insurance and gratuity.

This position will be based in Bangalore.
