The Programme for Civil Society, Stockholm

A new unit at Forum Syd working with grant management will be operational from 1 January 2020. The unit will be located at the Forum Syd Stockholm office and have the overall responsibility for granting of funds to Swedish organisations under the Programme for Civil Society.

The operational work of granting funds -e.g. assessments of applications- to Swedish organisations is being done at the Forum Syd hubs in Colombia, Kenya, Sweden and Lithuania. The new unit will have a coordinating and supporting role towards these hubs.

The programme administrator will mainly be working with supporting the three hubs outside Sweden, supporting central processes in the grant management cycle and be responsible for communication and support to Swedish organisations. The work will also include various administrative support to the unit.

Areas of responsibility

  • Responsibility for practical support to Forum Syd’s hubs in Colombia, Kenya and Lithuania
  • Responsibility for communication with and support to external stakeholders
  • Administering applications and reports
  • Archiving of projects
  • Responsibility for logistics at conferences and meetings
  • Contribute to maintaining Forum Syd’s project management system
  • Other tasks related to the work and delegated by line manager

Qualifications required

  • University degree
  • Fluent in Swedish and English
  • Volunteer work for CSOs, preferably in development cooperation
  • Proven skills in administrative tasks

Other qualifications

  • Proficiency in Spanish
  • Knowledge of Forum Syd grant-giving

This position is a full-time permanent position with six months probationary period, starting as soon as possible. The position is located at Forum Syd's office, Stockholm.
