As a non-governmental social development organisation we help children without parental care and families in difficult living conditions through services in care, education, health and emergency relief, and we advocate for children’s rights. We work in 136 countries and territories, reaching over one million children, young people, families and caregivers each year.

 

Mission

Monitoring & Evaluation is a central area within the Programme & Strategy function in the International Office. It collects, consolidates and manages programme data from 100 member associations via the programme database, which serves as input to the strategy, cross- functional management steering and communication (internal and external). M&E also runs the programme database in collaboration with ICT. Moreover, it is responsible for the federation- wide roll-out of RBM (results-based management) and the corresponding IT system AmpImpact, including trainings and maintenance of contents.

 

Tasks and Responsibilities

  • Carry senior management responsibility for a dispersed team of 10 staff to ensure continuous business procedures in programme management, staff development, and successful project implementation (programme database, RBM roll-out, AmpImpact)
  • Facilitate cross-functional collaboration between programme, IT, finance and other functions to enable efficient and effective programme management
  • Represent the M&E area and consult in cross-functional KPI projects, incl. strategy development
  • Manage project portfolio of strategic action projects, incl. oversight of budgets and timelines

Requirements

  • Master’s degree or equivalent in social science, social management, IT, or related field
  • A minimum of 10 years of relevant project management experience with a minimum of 5 years in Monitoring & Evaluation
  • Profound knowledge on Monitoring & Evaluation and RBM
  • Previous experience in a leadership position, preferably in an international context
  • Strong facilitation skills
  • Knowledge in agile management of IT projects, knowledge in database and data
    warehouse management would be an advantage
  • Excellent command of English
  • Applicants must hold a valid Austrian working permit or be eligible to work within the EU
