MI strives to enable and empower the most vulnerable communities in marginalized areas through a participatory and sustainable approach.In support of our work in Maungdaw Township, Rakhine State, Myanmar Malteser International is looking for a motivated Nurse/Health Assistant, Malaria Project (m/f/d) - National position.
As a Nurse / Health Assistant (m/f/d), you will be responsible to manage all day-to-day Malaria transactions of the Programs/projects to ensure effective program implementation within MI Health policies and procedures and donor requirements. Also, you will assist the Medical Officer for efficient Malaria Project management and achievement of overall target and organizational objective.

Responsibilities:
- Ensure the delivery of an effective malaria intervention program, in accordance with national malaria control project (NMCP) and Malteser International guidelines
- Ensure provision of technical assistance to CHWs in identifying, screening and referral of patients suspected to have malaria, while strictly adhering to specific guidelines with NMCP
- Work in close cooperation with Medical Officer to provide accurate data and report in time when necessary
- Monitor, collect and report all relevant data in timely manner, report to the Medical Officer
- Manage Malteser pharmacy stock in the field and monthly supply of all its materials and drugs
- Assist at malaria screening unit and Assist health educators as required
Qualifications:
- Nursing School Graduate with license or Bachelor of Community Health degree
- Experienced staff with at least 1-2 years working experience in relevant field like in a hospital, INGOs or clinic as Nurse/Health Assistant
- Previous working experience in a rural outreach setting and able to understand challenges faced by rural communities in relation to poor health, and lack of knowledge
- Good communicator with strong interpersonal skills and able to deal with the local communities
- Previous experience with UN or NGO will be an asset
Conditions:
- Start date: February, 2020
- Duty Station: Maungdaw Township, Rakhine State, Myanmar
- Duration of contract: 1 year (extendable) duie to donor approval
- Salary according to qualification and experience: 14th Month Salary, Location Specific Allowance & Health Insurance
