Location: Vienna/Austria

SOS Children’s Villages International is the umbrella organisation for the global federation of SOS Children’s Villages. As a non-governmental social development organisation we help children without parental care and families in difficult living conditions through services in care, education, health and emergency relief, and we advocate for children’s rights. We work in 136 countries and territories, reaching over one million children, young people, families and caregivers each year.

Mission

The International Corporate Partnerships and Philanthropy department (ICPP) is responsible for driving and supporting partnerships and global income development in the area of corporate and major donor fundraising. The department also directly manages relationships and develops global partnerships requiring multi-country engagement and coordination.
The Head of ICPP aims to build strategic partnerships with corporations, institutions, private philanthropists, and like-minded organisations, to benefit the target group of SOS Children’s Villages: children without parental care and those at risk of losing parental care.

Tasks and Responsibilities
  • Develop new international corporate partnerships and major donor accounts through the coordination of incoming proposals; including due diligence screening, researching individual prospects, preparing draft presentations and offerings as well as other administrative tasks
  • Manage and develop current global partnerships and ambassadors strengthening loyalty and overall support from our main investors
  • Develop new global major donors including prospecting, due diligence screening, researching individual prospects, preparing draft presentations and offerings as well as donor stewardship
  • Manage and develop current global partnerships and ambassadors strengthening loyalty and overall support
  • Raise profile of SOS Children’s Villages in the Corporate and Philanthropic sectors
  • Lead corporate and major donor global networks
  • Manage the ICPP team as well as income and cost budgets
  • Develop and lead global strategies, analyse and provide advice on global fundraising performance in the segments
  • Oversee and engage donors through meetings and visits to SOS programmes and offices to deepen relationships and commitment
Requirements
  • University degree in Business Administration, Fundraising, International Cooperation,  External Relations or comparable
  • Minimum of 10 years of progressive experience including at senior level in cooperate or major donor fundraising; Relevant experience in the child care sector would be an asset
  • Experience in leadership roles as well as strong people management experience
  • Sound experience in managing  and developing longstanding global partnerships and ambassadorships
  • Strong experience in managing and further developing global expert networks
  • Ability to deliver effective speeches during public and private events and meetings
  • Strong facilitation skills
  • Excellent English language and communication skills
  • A valid Austrian working permit or eligibility to work within the EU
