Reporting to the Head of Acquisition and Through-Life Management (ATLM) Sector, and under the supervision of the Senior Systems Engineer for naval, aerial and terrestrial equipment, the main duties of the Systems Engineer for naval, aerial and terrestrial equipment in Pooled Resources Unit are: * Contribute to the development of tailored systems engineering processes of the Pooled Resources Unit for the Agency’s naval/maritime, aerial and terrestrial assets. * Support the development and maintenance of system requirement specifications and system interface design documents related to the naval/maritime, aerial and terrestrial equipment: - evaluate alternative solutions/select the preferred solution; - define and manage stakeholder needs and requirements; - define, analyse, verify/validate and maintain traceability of the system requirements; - prepare Configuration Item/Equipment Procurement Specifications; - prepare interface requirements specifications, and review interface and installation control drawings. * Monitor and control the development of system/sub-systems integration, validation, verification and acceptance test procedures: - participate in design reviews, system and sub-systems integration, quality audits, verification/validation and acceptance tests, generate appropriate test reports, and manage relevant observations or non-conformities; - assist with integrated logistics support activities including analysis, technical publications and interface control documents; - ensure implementation of the principles of quality assurance and quality control. * Assist the Senior Systems Engineer and support the Pooled Resources Project Managers: - identify and analyse the engineering/technical related risks to the projects managed by the Unit; - monitor and control the performance of the Agency’s technical equipment during deployment/operation; - define and perform the maintenance and disposal strategy for each system managed by the Unit. * Manage the relevant Agency’s external experts, and consultancy services contracts in order to provide the right expertise to systems engineering, project management, and quality control/assurance matters.
