Health Supervisor (m/f/d) - National position

Malteser International (MI) is working in Myanmar since 2001, Malteser International currently employs more than 350 national staff in Rakhine, Shan and Kayin states, where our work aims at ensuring communities have access to primary health care services. We also offer comprehensive WASH and disaster risk reduction/climate change adaptation solutions, and provide relief after disasters. MI strives to enable and empower the most vulnerable communities in marginalized areas through a participatory and sustainable approach.


 

 

 
In support of our work in Mong Khat Township, Eastern Shan State, Myanmar, Malteser International is looking for a motivated Health Supervisor (m/f/d) - National position.

Responsibilities:

  • Participate in the elaboration of IECs and training materials to be used by CHW, AMW and MSG when implementing health education activities in the project’s target villages
  • Providing training to the CHW, AMW and MSG according to the identified needs within the project’s context
  • Support monitoring and supervision of the activities of CHW, AMW and MSG.
  • Backing up the project’s team by provision of supervision and coaching on-the-job
  • Support the Expanded Programme of Immunisation (EPI) activities and other outreach activities in collaboration with Basic Health Staff (BHS) from MoHS within the project’s intervention area
  • Responsible for coordination and organization for cooking demonstrations activities with the target population

Qualifications:

  • High School (or) preferable with relevant Diploma (Midwife and/or Nurse)
  • Minimum of two years of working experiences with community based health programme (preferably in the field of health promotion / disease control programmes)
  • Professional background in community mobilization, health education and participatory techniques
  • Ability to organize and conduct training and proper utilization of IEC materials
  • Knowledge of local languages spoken in project sites; Myanmar/Akha/ Lahu and Shan
  • Knowledge in English is a strong asset

Conditions:

  • Start Date: as soon as possible
  • Duty Station: Mong Khat Township, Eastern Shan State, Myanmar
  • Duration of contract: Until 31st Dec 2020 (extendable)
  • Salary according to qualification and experience: 14th Month Salary & Health Insurance
