Financial Compliance Officer

The Financial Compliance Officer will work for the Swedish Partnership Programme unit and report to its head but will also work closely with officers at the different hubs, and in collaboration with the programme’s Financial Controller.

Areas of work

  • Coordinate the practical compliance work of the programme’s grant management
  • Support and coordinate ForumCiv officers in their compliance work
  • Do compliance and capacity follow-ups on Swedish organisations and their partners
  • Coordinate the programme’s risk assessment work, and support ForumCiv officers in their risk assessments
  • Support Swedish organisations in their compliance work, e.g. through training

Qualifications required

  • University degree in economics, or similar
  • Fluent in Swedish and English
  • A minimum of two years’ experience as finance officer, or similar
  • Experience in risk assessment and risk management

Desirable qualifications

  • Familiarity with audit processes
  • Proficiency in Spanish
  • Professional or volunteer work at a civil society organisation
  • Knowledge of Sida CIVSAM grants, or similar

This position is a parental leave position until 30 June 2021, starting as soon as possible. The position is located at ForumCiv's office in Stockholm.

About the Swedish Partnership Programme unit

The unit is located at the ForumCiv Stockholm office and have the overall responsibility for granting of funds to Swedish organisations under the Swedish Partnership Programme. The funds are available for cooperation between Swedish organisations and their partner organisations in Africa, Latin America, Asia, and Eastern Europe.

The operational work of granting funds, e.g. assessments of applications, to Swedish organisations is being done at the ForumCiv's hubs in Colombia, Kenya, Sweden and Lithuania. The unit has a coordinating and supporting role towards these hubs.
