Organizational Settings FAO Partnership and Liaison Office in Azerbaijan
Reporting Lines Mr. Bariz Mehdiyev , Assistant FAO Representative (AFAOR) in Azerbaijan
Technical Focus Under the overall supervision of the FAO Representative (FAOR) in Azerbaijan, the direct supervision of the Assistant FAOR, operational supervision of relevant Program/Operations Officer, in close collaboration with Technical Team Leader and National Project coordinator, the project team and the technical experts (national and international) and the project counterparts, the Project Assistant will be responsible for the implementation of the following tasks:

CANDIDATES WILL BE ASSESSED AGAINST THE FOLLOWING
Minimum Requirements:
- University/Master’s degree on social and administrative sciences such as economics, statistics, business administration, political sciences, international relations, sociology, social work, development studies with a focus on rural and community development and/or a degree on agrarian sciences or agronomy with an understanding of social and economic dimensions of rural and agrarian contexts;
- Working knowledge of English and Azerbaijani; Russian will be an asset;
- Minimum 2 years of working experience in similar assignments (project/program management).
- National of Azerbaijan or resident in the country with a regular work permit.

Technical/Functional Skills:
- Effective organization of project workshops and meetings;
- Drafting, following-up of finalization and proper achieving of correspondence
- Coordinating Project meetings and their proper documentation through minutes and action points;
- Responsibility for the proper follow-up of Project work plans and initiation of relevant actions to achieve intended results.
- Experience working with rural communities, rural business development or organization of trainings;
- Knowledge or ability to learn and understanding the FAO Guidelines;
