Working with in-country partners, IRRI develops advanced rice varieties that yield more grain and better withstand pests and disease as well as flooding, drought, and other harmful effects of climate change.
Job Purpose
IRRI Education team is looking at engaging a National Consultant to support with it's initiatives on capacity building, stakeholder engagement and fund generation.
This position will be based out of the IRRI South Asia Regional Center (ISARC) at Varanasi, Uttar Pradesh and will be filled in only by the permanent citizens of India.
Roles and Responsibilities
- Support in education and capacity development training operations, including training logistical arrangements, content
readiness, delivery management, training facilitation, monitoring and evaluation of training batches, report preparation,
etc. - Support in fund generation activities for IRRI Education’s products and services like secondary research and identification
of suitable education and capacity development opportunities across Asia and Africa, support in writing concept notes,
business proposals, training reports, and managing relations with clients. - Support in coordination and communication with various partners like NARES, academic institutions, private institutes,
NGOs etc, for new content and course development, fund generation and bringing new educational technologies and
methodologies for effective delivery of IRRI Education programs.
Qualifications
Master’s in Business Management ( Agribusiness / Rural Management), Masters in Social Entrepreneurship / Sustainable Livelihoods etc with preferably 1 year of experience in development sector, preferably in agriculture, education, livelihoods
and entrepreneurship generation fields.
Skills Required
Mandatory
- Excellent writing and communication skills
- Excellent knowledge of Microsoft Office tools (word, excel and power point)
- Experience of secondary research
Preferred
- Experience of working on multimedia tools will be added advantage.
