Business Intelligence Officer

Organizational Setting and Work Relationships
Business Intelligence Officer normally reports to the Snr. Business Intelligence Officer and will support multiple functional areas by providing analytics and insights that drive optimized decision¿making to deliver operational data analysis and analytical support.

Duties
- Review organisational data.
- Develop internal and external BI and other products such as indicators, templates, maps and dashboards.
- Work on the data collection, cleaning and consolidation of data systems, including the interoperability of operational data and systems such as ERP, Dementra, Hyperion.
- Develop data foundation for robust analytics.
- Maintain data warehouse.
- Oversee the deployment of data to the data warehouse.
- Develop and implement new data analysis methodologies including advanced statistical analysis.
- Provide support to the development and compliance with standard, norms and policies related to business intelligence tools.
- Undertake the analysis of primary and secondary data for interpretation and evidence-informed decision making.
- Undertake assessments and situational analysis process with analytical frameworks, data collection, and analysis (standards, methodologies).
- Undertake planning process (standards, methodologies) quality assurance and technical advice on Theories of Change and indicators, as well as with data management and analysis methods.
- Analyse needs and capacities for data management activities and provide recommendations for meeting gaps.
- Monitor consistency of data and results for country, global and regional analysis.
- Monitor programme- and finance-related analytics and metrics and results.
- Perform data profiling to identify and understand anomalies.
- Provide training support to regional offices and operations.
- Perform other related duties as required.

Minimum Qualifications
Education & Professional Work Experience
Years of Experience / Degree Level
For P3/NOC - 6 years relevant experience with Undergraduate degree; or 5 years relevant experience with Graduate degree; or 4 years relevant experience with Doctorate degree

Field(s) of Education
Statistics; Data Science; Engineering;

or other relevant field.

Essential
- Experience in areas of Data Science, Finance, Programme, Information Management and other relevant fields.
- Experience in data warehouse, data modelling, data cleaning, business intelligence, data visualization and analysis, statistics, SQL, DAX, machine learning.
- Experience in R and/or Phyton.

Desirable
- Experience in Power BI
