Tearfund is hiring a Project Coordinator for leading, overseeing, supervising Tearfund projects in Central African Republic (CAR).

Tearfund is a UK based, Christian NGO working in over 45 of the poorest countries around the world, to lift people out of poverty, using local partners and churches wherever possible. Tearfund has been working in CAR for many years. In CAR Tearfund has been implementing a project funded by UK AID match to lift 10,000 women out of poverty through improving their businesses and changing the status of women in society (July 2018-June2021). For this challenging environment we are looking for an experienced project coordinator. 

As Project Coordinator you will take responsibility for a designated area of the team's overall task. Some of the areas that you will be responsible for are:

  • Manage quality control of SGBV, protection, adult literacy,and women's empowerment programming through identification of suitable projects, assessment of project proposals, monitoring of project implementation
  • Designing of integrated Protection, WASH and livelihood programming through identification of suitable projects, assessment of project proposals
  • Liaise with other departments as appropriate to identify and plan the support needed for implementation of projects
  • Coach and capacity build project staff and partners across sectors in project cycle management including project design, embedding Tearfund's Quality Standards, monitoring, evaluation, and learning
