SCOPE OF WORK: The IRC in San Diego has provided training, technical assistance, and loans to refugee and low-income. The Financial Literacy Program Intern will provide both administrative and direct service support to the program.

RESPONSIBILITIES: Based on intern skills and experience, responsibilities may include a combination of program support, administrative/data support, and direct service.

·Assist with organizing files and other assigned duties

·Assist with intake and support of walk-in clients.

·Enter data through the IRC’s Efforts to Outcomes (ETO) database

·Help with facilitating Financial Literacy classes.

·Underwrite and package consumer loan applications, and present for review to the IRC Loan Committee.

LEARNING OBJECTIVES:

1.Learn information about the refugees community financial needs

2.Learn about the banking and credit system in the US.

3.Learn about the different services provided by IRC.
