About the Role

Incheon Smart City Corporation contributes to global city value creation based on its cutting-edge technology and expertise as a leading company in Smart City business. It provides the end-to-end services covering from smart city planning to operation with both public and private sector costumers in Songo Smart City. This consultancy refers to a collaboration with the Green Climate Fund (GCF), a platform to respond to climate change by investing in low-emission and climate-resilient development. 

The consultant will work in close relationship with the GCF’s Knowledge and Change Management team to support its activities in data cleaning, visualization and text mining based on the GCF Taxonomy. S/he will provide solutions for cleaning raw and complex data and extract relevant information. S/he will utilize text mining to identify patterns and trends that can help boost GCF efficiency and processes and will provide technical solutions for implementation. S/he will perform additional tasks as required by the client. This assignment is for one year. 

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Supporting complex data collection; analysis and classification to support the Fund’s processes, supported by data analytics or any Artificial Intelligence tools;
  • Support in developing efficient tools for raw data cleaning and extraction of relevant information;
  • Advance tools and machine learning for data analytics; 
  • Support solutions for the implementation of text mining for boosting GCF efficiency; 
  • Integrating taxonomy structure with metadata tagging software for fully automated metadata tagging, rolling out to a live system once fully validated through the selected software system; 
  • Building dashboards and visualizing data, trends, patterns, etc.;
  • Other relevant tasks as needed, assigned by the client.

Required Experience and Qualifications

  • Minimum of Master’s degree in computer science, information/knowledge management, data science, engineering, business administration, economics or other related fields;
  • Preferably three years of relevant work experience in data analytics, data and information management, or consulting;
  • Knowledge and understanding of AI systems for data analysis and text mining is strongly preferred;
  • Experience in utilizing SharePoint Online for metadata construction, management and classification, including the use of confidentiality classification;
  • Experience in an international setting, and ability to work independently and take initiative in response to the Fund's needs;
  • Strong competence and autonomy in the use of standard software programmes: Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook, and Access; 
  • Ability to work both independently and as a productive member of relevant teams; and
  • Fluency in English is essential (written and spoken); knowledge of another UN language an advantage.
