Project Description:

FHI 360/Philippines (www.fhi360.org) through Better Health Programme (BHP) is a 3.5-year project funded by the UK Government’s Prosperity Fund aims to reduce Non-Communicable Disease (NCD) burden in the Philippines and improve access to safe, quality care using equitable, ethical and sustainable approaches. The program will accomplish this through the implementation of a set of activities in the following areas: 1) Strategies to Counter NCDs; 2) Digital Health initiatives; 3) Education and Training; 4) Provider Performance Improvement; and 5) Life Sciences initiatives.

Job Description / Scope of Work for Short-Term:

  1. Review the design and methodology for the conduct of literature review and systems analysis for the development of MuPLoMT+
  2. Provide the necessary advice and inputs specific to the specialty on the data gathering process for MuPLoMT+
  3. Regularly review the status of the MuPLoMT+ prototype development and provide technical inputs as needed
  4. Provide guidance and technical advice on the conduct of the validation procedures and tests to be done on MuPLoMT+
  5. Provide inputs on the recommendations resulting from the results of the validation procedures and tests conducted
  6. Provide a separate set of recommendations on the data quality and governance concerns, MuPLoMT+ adoption and utilization, and the positions of MuPLoMT+ in the evolving eHealth and health information ecosystem

Education and Required Job Experience:

· Doctor of Medicine and/or PhD in Epidemiology and/or subspecialty training in epidemiology

· With research training and has been or currently involved in COVID-19 researches

· At least five (5) years of experience in health services research or programs development

· Has worked with projects using health systems approaches

· Training and/or work experience in local healthcare system, health analytics, database management in the Philippines and other Southeast Asia countries

Required Skills:

· With experience in developing algorithms for clinical protocols

· Preferably involved in a research project or consultations on the COVID-19 vaccine deployment

· Preferably with training and/or experience on development of health registries and/or similar health information systems

· Has worked with Local Government Units (LGUs), specifically the health information systems aspects of local health systems

Supervision and Reporting

The position will be under and reporting to the BHP Project Director

Starting 3 May 2021 to 29 October 2021
