SCOPE OF INTERN WORK & RESPONSIBILITIES: With oversight from the Program Officers for Assurances and Travel Coordination, the Travel and Assurances Intern will play an important role in supporting the Processing Department by processing pre-arrival reports, support travel coordination to field offices, and provide quality assurance of pre-arrival documentation.

·Oversee I-94 correction submissions

·Process pre-arrival reports and inform offices of pertinent case changes

·Review medical documentation for active R&P cases

·Adhere to IRC policies, particularly those related to confidentiality and client privacy

·Other related duties as assigned

COMMITMENT: 6 months starting in November 2021, 15.0 or 37.5 hours per week (full-time preferred, but flexible)

LEARNING OBJECTIVES:

1.The intern will gain knowledge of the United States Refugee Admission Program (USRAP), specifically in Pre-Arrival processing.

2.The intern will develop basic skills in quality assurance and analyzing data.

REQUIREMENTS:

·Bachelor’s degree preferred.

·Experience working with immigration or resettlement programs preferred.

·Availability to work 15 hours per week at minimum.

·Exceptional attention to detail and strong organizational skills required.

·Excellent time management skills and ability to maintain tight deadlines required.

·Clear written and verbal communication skills required.

·Knowledge of Microsoft Office programs, especially Excel, required.

This is an unpaid internship position. No financial compensation, including compensation for relocation, is available.
