Job Summary:

 

The Project Logistics Manager (PLM) directly supports the MFO Project Management Office and Facilities Maintenance Team by assisting with the ordering of materials for projects, monitoring receipt and coordinating delivery of those materials to the required locations. Plans and executes logistics support requirements, including plant transportation, life support and project logistics materials across multiple major and minor infrastructure projects within Sinai.

 

Responsibilities: 

 

  •  Responsible for allocating work and supervising the Military Transport Officer (MTO) within Force Engineering Office (FEO).
  •  Assists the Senior Project Manager by raising requisitions in support of approved projects and facilities requirements, within budget and on schedule.
  • Coordinates with MFO Procurement Managers to assist in material costs analysis.
  • Tracks the status of project materials orders and provides updates to the FEO as directed.
  • Ensures requisitions reflect the correct IO as directed by Chief of Support/FEO.
  • Assists in coordination for and tracks the progress of project material orders and delivery. Identifies in-plant transfer of materials to meet production schedules for projects/work orders.  Changes the storage location for materials ordered on a work order to reflect current inventory holdings and advises Supply when materials must be shipped between warehouses.
  •  Responsible for the collection of engineering stock holdings from the Force Inventory Manager as called forward by the end user.
  •  Responsible for maintenance and upkeep of the 5-year Equipment and Tooling replacement plan for Engineering.
  •  Assists the FEO in maintaining visibility of the ‘Beyond Economical Repair’ register and 5-year replacement program.
  •  Conducts audits on departmental assets and tooling as directed by FEO.
  •  Ensures logistical operations in support of projects are compliant with MFO policy regarding supply systems.
  • Responsible for Material Resource Planning (MRP) for the FEO work orders and on occasions for the Force Inventory Manager as directed by Chief of Support/Deputy Chief of Support (DCSP) in their absence.

  

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

 

  • Must be proficient with project and construction plans, inventory records, bill of materials and budgetary matters. 
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints, MS Project Reports and Bill of Materials requests.
  •  Must have previous experience in handling multiple ongoing projects in support of projects and facilities teams maintaining inventory and materials are fully accounted for across multiple sites.
  • Proficiency with MS Office Suite and knowledge of Enterprise Resource Planning tools.
  • Must have strong ability to troubleshoot, analyze and solve complex problems in the field, along with strong communications with Logistics personnel on important and critical consignment.
  • Ability to learn/use SAP to make reports and track/manage Work Orders, raise requisitions and report on financial business against each project and facilities inventory. This is a high-end SAP user position.
  • Knowledge of through to life management for engineering fleet and major facilities type equipment.
  • Excellent organization skills capable of working in fast paced, changing priority environment; results oriented and focused on outcome.
  • Hold a valid Home Country driver`s license and be able to obtain and maintain an appropriate MFO driving license.

 

Education and Experience:

 

  • CIPS or equivalent qualifications, PMP training or qualification or an undergraduate degree in logistics or supply chain management or requisite demonstrated experience.
  • Must have a minimum of 5 years’ experience in project logistics and supply chain management with an emphasis on end-to-end delivery of materials to projects and camp type facilities.
  • Must have experience in materials coordination and supply chain business along with an understanding of financial control.
  • Must have previous experience in handling multiple ongoing projects in support of projects and facilities teams maintaining inventory and materials are fully accounted for across multiple sites.
