In this context and under the guidance of the incumbent is responsible for the day-to-day administration of business solutions support services. The incumbent is responsible for supporting the administration and execution of varied activities related to the application of technology, ensuring high quality and accuracy of work. The incumbent works in close collaboration with all stakeholders in OHR to communicate efficiently and ensure consistent service delivery, quality and results-oriented approach.

 
Duties and Responsibilities

1. Support the Administration Business Solutions Services

  • Support the administration of Business Solutions Services.
  • Provides helpdesk support to HR Information Systems and Talent Management Systems.
  • Provides support in the generation of workforce data, and interpretation of data and statistics, including preparation of HR reports, presentations and briefing notes.
  • Provides inputs on HR analytics and enhancement of business processes.
  • Ensure that SOP’s are well documented, including new, simplified, templates and tools and that the respective stakeholders and clients are informed and trained on their use.
  • Support the administration of Business Solutions Services.
  • Provides helpdesk support to HR Information Systems and Talent Management Systems.
  • Provides support in the generation of workforce data, and interpretation of data and statistics, including preparation of HR reports, presentations and briefing notes.
  • Provides inputs on HR analytics and enhancement of business processes.
  • Ensure that SOP’s are well documented, including new, simplified, templates and tools and that the respective stakeholders and clients are informed and trained on their use.

2.  Supports the automation of people management capabilities through people analytics

  • Support the development of new automation systems and existing processes for internal efficiency analysis and stakeholder communication.
  • Provides helpdesk support to HR Information Systems.

3. Support performance monitoring of people management in UNDP

  • Support the development of analytical tools to monitor the efficacy of UNDP’s People for 2030 strategy.
  • Maintain the performance Dashboard and its use in contributing to the continued efficiency of the organization.
  • Support the implementation of corrective adjustments and capacity building actions to enable a successful implementation of People Analytics in the provision of OHR’s business intelligence solutions to client Bureaus and UN entities.

4. Office Management

  • Support the Organizational Effectiveness team with day-to-day office activities (including but not limited to leave management, travel management including requisitions in ATLAS, facilities and asset management, policy and procedures maintenance) to meet operational needs.
  • Support the Team Leader Organizational Effectiveness as needed.
  • Perform any other tasks as required.

5. Knowledge Sharing & Outreach

  • Supports the engagement of partnership with peers of other UN and related entities to exchange on best practices, lessons learned and policies.
  • Synthesize knowledge gained to leverage value added contributions to OHR’s work. 
  • Support the coordination of work groups, meetings and consultations with partners on issues related to organizational effectiveness.
  • Facilitate workshops and share good practices.

Required Skills and Experience
 
Education:
  • Secondary Education. University Degree in HR, Business or Public Administration / Information Technology or related field would be highly desirable, but it is not a requirement.
Experience:
  • 6 years of progressively responsible HR and operations experience is required at the national or international level, or 3 years with Bachelor’s degree.
  • Previous work within the UN system and knowledge of Atlas and ERP systems is also an advantage.
  • Experience in the usage of computers and office software packages (MS Word, Excel, etc.) and experience in handling of web-based management systems.
Language:
  • English Proficiency. 2nd UN language highly desirable.
 
Please note that continuance of appointment beyond the initial 12 months is contingent upon the successful completion of a probationary period.
