Background
The Global ICT Support team serves over 6000 staff distributed in more than 100 offices in 30 countries, including Head Office in Oslo. Support services are delivered in close coordination with the Head Office ICT as well as technical field staff. A variety of industry-standard tools are used in the analysis, resolution, and tracking of support requests. The team is built around a strong belief in customer service, commitment to NRC's values, and a continuous improvement attitude while solving technical challenges for NRC. We are looking for an ICT Support Officer to join our winning team
Roles and responsibilities
- Provide timely, positive, and effective ICT support for NRC Head Office staff and field ICT staff via the ticketing system and in-person;
- Preparation, distribution, and support of user equipment (incl. Windows and MAC laptops, phones), including asset tracking;
- User account management in relation to onboarding, offboarding, and transition of staff;
- Maintenance and management of NRC Head Office AV meeting room equipment;
- Train staff on how to use IT equipment and tools;
- Contribute to process improvement on recurring support needs;
- Contribute to ICT projects as required;
- Contribute content to the ICT knowledge base;
- Share the team’s workload, common activities, tasks, and well-being;
- Foster a strong working relationship with NRC ICT staff distributed in 30 countries worldwide;
- Adhere to, communicate and enforce NRC ICT policies and standards as well as escalating any deviations from these to higher management;
- Perform other duties in the section as appropriate.
As our prospective candidate, you have the following;
- Experience in technical customer support;
- Self-motivated and you do not shy from taking initiative;
- Able to cope with a fast-paced environment;
- Ability to prioritize;
- Interested in continuous improvement of IT Support, Service-delivery, and working environment;
- A patient and a service-minded team player;
- Fluency in English, both written and verbal (additional languages such as French, Spanish or Arabic will be considered an asset).
