The Resettlement Program Assistant is a member of the IRC in Atlanta’s Resettlement Department and is responsible for assisting the case management teams to ensure that newly-arrived refugee clients receive core services. The Resettlement Program Assistant provides administrative support to the Resettlement team, including gathering necessary documentation from clients, ensuring case notes are completed in a timely manner, documentation of service delivery in client case files, and maintenance of IRC databases. This is a full-time, limited term position with the possibility of extension based on funding.

Major Responsibilities:

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Enter and update client address, contact information, and case notes into the program’s information data systems and internal tracking systems.
  • Coordinate receipt and distribution of client documents and complete data entry procedures.
  • Collect appropriate documentation to confirm participant eligibility to receive services.
  • Assist resettlement team with obtaining client signatures.
  • Assist resettlement team with client documents and service documentation submissions to APA, MG, RP, and ICM digital file room.
  • Review digital case files to ensure compliance with all reporting requirements.
  • Create and maintain digital client files for appropriate programs such as the DHS-funded social adjustment services.
  • Prepare data sets for internal unduplicated client counts.
  • Support the Resettlement teams with completing client change of address forms (AR-11), as needed.
  • Retrieve clients I-94s from the USCIS database
  • Use personal, insured vehicle and/or public transportation (where available) to travel and transport clients and materials as needed throughout the service delivery area.
  • Other duties as assigned.
