ORGANIZATIONAL SETTING

The Establishment Agreement calls for the Centre to enhance communication and information exchange in order to facilitate interreligious and intercultural dialogue and cooperation among people. The Communications Department engages KAICIID’s audiences with information that fosters an up-to-date, actionable and relevant understanding of the Centre’s mission and work. Its goal is to win support for the Centre’s mandate and a positive reception of the outcomes its work achieves.

ROLE

KAICIID is seeking a Multimedia Consultant to support the Centre’s work through the production of high-quality videos which clearly and powerfully communicate the importance of interreligious dialogue to a variety of audiences.

Under the supervision of the Communications Officers, the consultant will be responsible for the production of social media videos (minimum of two videos per month) for the Centre’s various channels (Twitter, Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn and YouTube).

FUNCTIONS

  • Edit archive and new footage into short videos, including sound design and graphics as needed;
  • Rework existing videos into square format for social media;
  • Edit interviews and news videos within short periods of time;
  • Produce videos for Instagram stories;
  • Subtitle videos;
  • Coordinate with the Arabic speaking team for translation of selected newly produced videos
  • Support cataloguing and archiving via the KAICIID cloud multimedia platform as needed;
  • Provide technical expertise and support for livestreams.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE

  • University degree in film/video production or related field;
  • A minimum of two years of experience in video production and post-production; 
  • Expert in Adobe Premiere and After Effects;
  • Experience in Adobe Photoshop is an asset;
  • Good understanding of new and evolving technologies and digital platforms;

LANGUAGES

English proficiency (written and spoken). Knowledge of one of KAICIID’s other working languages (German, Spanish, Arabic, Portuguese) is a significant advantage.

TERMS OF APPOINTMENT

This is a full-time assignment. The selected candidate is expected to start on 1 March 2022 and will be offered a consultancy contract until 31 December 2022.

COMPENSATION

The fee will be offered in accordance with KAICIID consultancy rates, depending on the experience and expertise of the selected candidate.
