Provide financial support in relation to the projects that are being developed by the Alliance Research Areas and Programs. ICRISAT seeks applications from Indian nationals for the position of Analyst - Project Financial Analysis and Support (PLANS). This is for a project led by Alliance of Bioversity International and the International Center for Tropical Agriculture (CIAT), New Delhi.

About the Position:

Provide financial support in relation to the projects that are being developed by the Alliance Research Areas and Programs. Prepare financial reports for projects and handle projects information requirements from donors.

·Prepare budgets and financial reports of the assigned portfolio

·Prepare financial reports for donors and ensure reconciliation with the accounting records

·Analyze the information for reclassification of the expenditures

·Collect data and documentation to support the preparation of financial reports

·Prepare supporting documentation for financial report submissions and audits

·Coordinate the signature process of financial reports

·Support Project In-charges in proposal preparation ensuring internal and external compliance

·Reviewing and approval of the grants and partners contracts, ensuring the alignment between the donor financial conditions with the Alliance policies

·Monitor the budget execution, based on the funds allocation and prepare consolidated financial reports according to the guidelines and procedures established by the Alliance and aligned with donor and stakeholders’ requirements

·Coordinate the audits of the projects and support the monthly closing and fiscal year-end accounting processes

·Provide financial support focus on budget preparation, analysis and execution to research managers/coordinators accountable for agreements/projects/contracts at the institutional level

·Assure compliance with financial and contractual obligations for the assigned portfolio 

·Contribute to the optimization of the different processes in the PLANS unit

·Support the PLANS Office with financial management of grants assigned to other staff

·Review partners financial reports and provide relevant clearance

·Review the partner financial reports and ensure that the financial reporting checklist is complete; detect and report issues

·Review the transaction list provided by the partner and ensure it matches with the financial report

·Review supporting evidence provided by the partner and take the necessary actions as needed

·Make the GRN and prepare the transaction entry to include reported expenses by the partner in our books

·Coordinate the grant opening and data management in our Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) system:

·Prepare the grant opening template for the Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) system opening process

·Prepare budget uploads in a timely manner to ensure budgets in the Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) system are up to date

·Monitoring the budget execution of the projects under her/his responsibility

·Other tasks as required from the PLANS unit.

Required qualification and experience

·University degree in Business Administration, Finance, Accounting, or related fields

·Accounting/project management certification desired

·At least three (3) years of relevant work experience in a closely related field gained in an

·international organization including budgeting, accounting guidelines and financial management

·of projects
