| Overview of position |
The incumbent is expected to assist in establishment and strengthening nutrition sector
coordination mechanism. This will include planning, implementation, monitoring and
documentation of Maternal and Child Nutrition especially Infant and Young Child Feeding and
improving children’s diet diversity to prevent related comorbidities. within the framework of
the Country Program 2021- 2022 and Humanitarian Response Plan for Libya. |
| Role objectives |
1. Assist in establishment of Nutrition sector coordination and technical working group and conduct regular based meetings. 2. Assist in availability of accurate, complete and up-to-date information on the nutrition status of Pregnant and lactating women and children nationwide with focus on UNICEF supported geographical areas. 3. Facilitate establishment of close working relations with government partners especially MoH (nutrition unit) through regular progress reviews, need based meetings, attending relevant Nutrition sectors meetings and provide feedback for actions, 4. Analyze collected data and information on the Nutrition situation of PLW and children in the targeted areas and assist in preparing progress reports using agreed upon indicators; assist in identification of required supplies and equipment for the target areas, assuring accuracy and consistency with established rules, regulations and plans of action. Keep record of all Nutrition related reports and assessments for easy reference. 5. Undertake field visits and assist in surveys and share information with partners/stakeholders to assess progress and provide technical support or refer to relevant officials for resolution. Report on critical issues, bottlenecks and potential problems for timely action to achieve results. 6. Participate in monitoring and evaluation exercises, program reviews and annual sectoral reviews with government and other counterparts, prepare minutes/reports for follow up action by higher management and other stakeholders. 7. Assist in establishment and strengthening of nutrition based program in Targeted health
facilities. |

• Develop and share Bi-weekly work plan • Share highlight of actions and submit biweekly the key achievements. • Ensure timely and quality reporting and accurate information for dissemination • Any other tasks assigned by the supervisor official
